Uddhav Thackeray-led Maharashtra government has taken a decision to pay salaries to five IAS officers for the waiting period. The five IAS officers will get their salaries under a special case. According to the rules, a civil servant can not be paid without their postings.
The five IAS officers who have been waiting for the postings–Vijay Singhal of 1997-batch has been waiting for a posting since June 23. Tukaram Mundhe of 2005-batch has been without a posting from August 28 after he was transferred from the Nagpur Municipal Corporation. Lokesh Chandra of 1993-batch and Dilip Gawade of 2007-batch have been without any postings from December 14 while Rajesh Patil of 2005-batch has been waiting for any postings from November 23.
As per the reports, the five bureaucrats approached the Maharashtra govt and the state govt made it a special case to pay their salaries.
