The Punjab government effected some minor changes in the bureaucracy by entrusting two IAS officers with additional responsibilities and transferring another IAS officer to a different department.
Mr. Krishna Kumar (IAS:1997:PB), who was the Principal Secretary, Water Resources with additional responsibility as Principal Secretary, Governance Reforms & Public Grievances, was given another additional responsibility as the Financial Commissioner, Forests and Wild Preservation.
While Mr. Varun Roojam (IAS:2004:PB),presently serving as Excise Commissioner, was given the additional charge of Taxation Commissioner.
Meanwhile, Mr. Vikas Garg (IAS:1998:PB), who was serving as the Financial Commissioner, Forests and Wildlife, was transferred and posted as the Principal Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs.
