Amidst a recent development, Mr. Iada Martin Marbaniang, a 2009 batch Meghalaya cadre IPS officer, the incumbent DIG in the Recruitment department, was mandated to assume office as the posted as the Commissioner of Police of Belagavi, replacing Mr. Vikas Kumar Vikash, the IGP of Northern Range.
He had earlier served as the Superintendent of Police in Kalaburagi, Head of Police Training College, Yadgir, and Superintendent of Police, CID.
