The Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER) has embarked on a significant endeavor to champion cleanliness and environmental sustainability with the inauguration of Swachhata Pakhwada. Commencing today at Vigyan Bhawan (Annexe), New Delhi, the event is slated to unfold from 16th May to 31st May 2024.
During the inaugural ceremony, the MDoNER team took the Swachhata Pledge, reaffirming their dedication to cleanliness initiatives and propagating the message of the Swachh Bharat Mission. Led by the Secretary, MDoNER, the pledge underscored the adoption of optimal cleanliness practices in all facets of life.
Secretary, MDoNER, underscored the imperative of perpetuating Swachhata initiatives throughout the year. Encouraging all staff members to actively engage and embed cleanliness practices in their daily routines was a focal point of his address.
As part of Swachhata Pakhwada, a myriad of activities are slated for execution, encompassing community awareness programs on eco-friendly endeavors, discouraging plastic usage, waste management, plantation drives, and street plays (Nukkad Natak).
Throughout the duration of the Pakhwada, MDoNER & Its Organizations will conduct routine cleanliness inspections across all divisions and surrounding office premises to uphold sanitation standards and efficient record management. Moreover, a cleanliness drive and voluntary clean-up activities (Shramdan) will be orchestrated to preserve the cleanliness of Vigyan Bhawan (Annexe) and its environs.
