In a significant move, retired IPS officer Prem Prakash officially joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday. The induction ceremony took place in Lucknow and was attended by the party’s state president, Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, and deputy chief minister, Brajesh Pathak.

The event marks a notable addition to the BJP’s ranks as Prem Prakash, known for his dedication to public service, steps into the political arena. Chaudhary, while welcoming Prakash into the party, highlighted the growing support for the development agenda spearheaded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak praised Prakash’s ongoing efforts for the welfare of the Dalit community. Pathak underscored the strategic advantage that Prakash’s joining would bring to the BJP, particularly in the upcoming electoral phases.

In his address, Pathak took a swipe at the opposition, citing the diminishing influence of leaders like Akhilesh Yadav and Rahul Gandhi. He attributed their reluctance to hold rallies to the disruptive presence of unruly elements within their gatherings.

Pathak also emphasized the prevailing “Modi wave” sweeping across the country, which he claimed has left the opposition disheartened and lacking direction.

With Prem Prakash’s induction, the BJP aims to bolster its outreach and consolidate its position ahead of the forthcoming elections, leveraging his experience and commitment to public welfare.
