2010 batch Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Raj Priy Singh has been appointed as Director in the Department of Rural Development under the Ministry of Rural Development. The appointment comes following an order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS).
According to the DoPT order, Mr. Singh’s appointment is effective from the date he assumes charge of the post until further orders, or as specified. His selection for this role was facilitated by the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, which recommended him for the Central deputation.
The DoPT order instructs Mr. Singh to be relieved of his current duties immediately, with directives to commence his responsibilities in the Department of Rural Development. This appointment underscores Mr. Singh’s expertise and the government’s commitment to deploying skilled personnel in key positions to drive rural development initiatives.
