Senior diplomat Rahul Shrivastava (1999-batch Indian Foreign Service officer) has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to the Republic of Namibia. Mr. Shrivastava is presently serving as India’s Ambassador to Romania, Albania, and Moldova, and is expected to take up his new assignment shortly.
In an official statement, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced, “Rahul Shrivastava (IFS: 1999) has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to the Republic of Namibia.” The statement further noted, “He is expected to assume the role shortly.”
Officer Shrivastava was first appointed as India’s Ambassador to Romania in June 2020. He was later accredited to Moldova in August 2020 and Albania in October 2020, managing concurrent responsibilities across these countries.
