“Dreams demand patience, effort, and courage; the path may be long, but the destination is worth every step.” – Unknown
When it comes to courage, perseverance, and unwavering self-belief, few stories shine as brightly as that of Aditi Jain, who not only cracked MPPSC-2023 with an outstanding Rank 10 but is now on her way to becoming a Deputy Collector.
Hailing from a small village in Madhya Pradesh, Aditi’s journey is the embodiment of consistent effort, deep self-belief, and the art of turning struggles into stepping stones. Her formula was simple yet powerful – ‘manifest your dream’ every single day and back it with disciplined action. Despite facing severe financial challenges, she never allowed her circumstances to define her destiny.
Her family could afford to send her to Indore, but not for expensive coaching. Understanding this limitation, Aditi made a courageous decision: she moved to Indore not to join coaching, but simply to absorb the competitive environment and maintain focus. She stayed in a hostel, studied on her own, and enrolled only in test series and mock interviews. At every step, she had to compromise, adjust, and sacrifice – but she did it all with a smile and a burning dream in her heart.
Finally, her dedication paid off. Not only did she crack the MPPSC exam, but she also secured such an impressive rank that she is set to take charge as a Deputy Collector, fulfilling the very dream she manifested for years. Aditi’s story stands as a beacon of hope for every aspirant who dares to dream big despite limited resources, proving that when determination meets discipline, no dream is too distant.
Indian Masterminds exclusively interviewed Ms Aditi to learn more about her inspiring journey and what it truly takes to reach this milestone.

Journey So Far: Five Years of Relentless Pursuit
Aditi’s journey in the world of civil services began in 2021. Over the course of five years, she appeared for the MPPSC prelims, mains, and interviews multiple times. In total, she gave five attempts, cleared all five prelims, cleared four mains, and one mains is still pending.
Her journey was not a smooth ride to instant success—it was a path shaped by setbacks, resilience, and remarkable victories:
- First Attempt (2021): Selected as Assistant Treasury Officer.
- Second Attempt (2022): Cleared mains but failed in the interview.
- Third Attempt (2023): Achieved her dream post of Deputy Collector.
- Fourth Attempt (2024): Selected as Assistant Director of Finance.
- Fifth Attempt (2025): Cleared prelims and was waiting for mains, but since she had already secured the highest post of this exam, she no longer needed to continue.
Due to technical issues, the MPPSC-2023 result was delayed, and it was declared even after MPPSC-2024. But the wait was worth it – Aditi is now the proud ‘Deputy Collector bitiya’ from a humble rural background, who turned limited resources into her biggest strength and transformed a big dream into reality.
Despite all ups and downs, she never gave up. She continued her preparation relentlessly, even while working full-time as an Assistant Treasury Officer, the post she earned through MPPSC-2021.

Background: From Village Roots to Administrative Heights
Aditi hails from Maddeora, a small village in Buxwaha tehsil, Chhatarpur district. Her father runs a modest grocery store, and her mother is a dedicated homemaker who also worked as an Asha worker. With three siblings to support, financial constraints were a real challenge.
Growing up in a village where no one had previously held an administrative post, Aditi had to navigate her journey without traditional guidance. Instead, she turned to YouTube and online resources, learning everything she needed to know through self-study.
Education: Building the Foundation
Aditi’s educational journey reflects her commitment and diligence –
- Primary School: Government school in her village (Class 1–5)
- Secondary & Higher Secondary: Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (Class 6–12, Commerce stream)
- Graduation: Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a specialization in Finance from Dr. Hari Singh Gour University
Her academic foundation in finance proved crucial, especially during interviews where her questions often revolved around audit, CGA, Rhea, economy, and finance-related topics.

Preparation Strategy: Interest Over Pressure
Aditi’s preparation strategy was unconventional but highly effective –
- She never overexerted herself; instead of studying 16–20 hours a day, she consistently studied 6–8 hours daily.
- She studied with interest rather than under pressure. For example, she approached history by understanding events rather than rote memorization.
- During her three years in Indore, she stayed in a hostel, attended test series, and took mock interviews, but did not take formal coaching. Her aim was to immerse herself in the right environment rather than rely on structured coaching.
- Consistency was her mantra. Despite festivals, family functions, and other distractions, she kept her routine unbroken.
Struggles Faced: Financial Constraints and Lack of Guidance
Aditi’s biggest challenge was financial limitations. With her father managing a small grocery store and three siblings to support, she could not afford extensive coaching or resources.
Despite this, she turned her pain points into motivation: the desire to be financially independent and support her family fueled her perseverance. She often reminds aspirants that struggles can become stepping stones if approached with the right mindset.

Turning Points: Manifestation and Focus
Several key moments shaped Aditi’s journey.
Manifestation: She consistently wrote her goal, “DC Aditi Jain, Deputy Collector 2023,” and even set it as her phone password. This daily visualization strengthened her self-belief.
Improving Mains: Despite initially lower mains scores, she focused on making Mains her strength, realizing interviews are subjective. In 2023, she scored 771 marks in Mains, a jump of 50 marks from 2021.
Interview Strategy: Her interviews included questions about audit, CAG, local history (Maharaja Chhatrasal), folk culture, and mythology. Despite scoring only 90 in the interview, her strong Mains performance secured her DC post.

Preparation Philosophy: Keys to Cracking MPPSC
From Aditi’s experience, aspirants can glean three crucial lessons –
- Consistency: Study every day, even for 2–3 hours, without long breaks. Small, steady steps beat intermittent bursts of effort.
- Self-Belief: Believe in your ability to succeed. Use visualization and manifestation techniques to reinforce confidence.
- Patience: Do not get distracted by external events or others’ progress. Keep your focus on your goal.
She emphasizes that making Mains your strength is crucial. Exclusive content, research, and well-thought answers can make a candidate stand out even if interview scores are moderate.
Message to Aspirants: Persevere, Persist, Prevail
Aditi’s message is simple but powerful – “If you persist for two, three, or even four years, success will come. Believe in yourself, turn struggles into motivation, and maintain consistency. The time spent preparing is never wasted once you achieve your dream.”
Her journey underscores that financial constraints, lack of guidance, and repeated setbacks are not barriers – they are catalysts for growth when combined with patience, consistency, and determination.

From a Village Girl to Deputy Collector
From Maddeora village to the corridors of administration, Aditi Jain’s story is nothing short of inspiring. In five years, she transformed challenges into milestones, failures into lessons, and aspirations into reality. Today, as she prepares to take charge as Deputy Collector, her journey serves as a shining example that with perseverance, self-belief, and consistent effort, no dream is too distant.
Aditi’s story reminds every aspirant that success is not about luck – it is about resilience, strategy, and the courage to continue.
