Moradabad’s economy focuses on the brass industry, which is facing challenges but has seen growth in turnover. Efforts are underway to resolve issues for exporters and manufacturers. The brass industry in Moradabad is significant for local exports and economic development, showcasing a variety of decorative items. Its reputation as a ‘Brass City’ reflects this importance.

Meetings with industrialists, as directed by the Chief Minister, is aimed at addressing and solving problems faced by the brass sector. This collaborative approach promotes smoother operations. Smooth logistics for raw materials and finished goods are crucial for the success of local manufacturers. Identifying and solving intermediate problems has been a priority to enhance efficiency.

The brush industry in Bijnor, known for its quality, supplies a variety of painting brushes across India. It is also the biggest wig-manufacturing center in the country. This industry has faced challenges but is currently being revitalized.

Amroha is famous for its musical instruments, such as the dholak and tabla, which are crafted with skill. These traditional items enhance the cultural heritage of the region.

Rampur’s knife-making, specifically the Rampuri knife, is witnessing a revival. Efforts are being made to restore its reputation against cheaper alternatives from other regions.

The traditional Rampur Garara, initially made from leftover fabric, has evolved into a fashionable item worn by celebrities, showcasing the area’s rich cultural heritage.

Rampur is also recognized for its agricultural products like organic jaggery and basmati rice, which are locally produced and have a significant demand in export markets.
