Chief Secretary KS Jawahar Reddy has been asked to proceed on leave, setting off a panic reaction among Andhra Pradesh bureaucrats. This is due to the change of guards in the state legislature with Mr Chandra Babu Naidu set to replace Mr YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as the Chief Minister.
Several IPS officerslike P.S.R. Anjaneyulu, P.V. Sunil Kumar, N. Sanjay, Kanthi Rana Tata, Kolli Raghuram Reddy, Y. Ravi Sankar Reddy, and Y. Rishant Reddy, and a senior IAS officer S.S. Rawat, IYR Krishna Rao and K Sunitha, are likely to bear the brunt of being in prominent position during the previous regime which probed corruption cases against Naidu.
Mr Naidu was charged with misappropriating funds by the CID headed by IPS officer N Sanjay in what was known as a Rs 371 crore Skill Development scam. Mr Naidu was arrested in September last year and had to spend close to two months in jail.
