The Central Government Clears Appointments, Repatriation of 10 JS Level Officers

M C Jauhari (IAS:1987:AM) has been appointed as Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) (JS level), National Minority Development and Finance Corporation (NMDFC) under the Ministry of Minority Affairs for a tenure up to the date of his superannuation on 31.08.2022.

The Modi government on Thursday (24.03.2022) cleared the appointments and premature repatriation of 10 Joint Secretary /Joint Secretary equivalent level officers in various ministries and departments.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows:

  1. Krishna Kant Singh (IDAS:2000) has been appointed as Joint Secretary (SR), Cabinet Secretariat for tenure up to 02.10.2022 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, by temporarily upgrading the post of Director held by the officer.
  2. Alok Agrawal (CSS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation for a tenure up to the date of his superannuation on 31.12.2023.
  3. Vivek Bhushan Sood (IRSE:1996:Civil) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Investment & Public Asset Management for a tenure of five years. He replaces D Bhatnagar (IRS-IT:1988).
  4. M C Jauhari (IAS:1987:AM) has been appointed as Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) (JS level), National Minority Development and Finance Corporation (NMDFC) under the Ministry of Minority Affairs for a tenure up to the date of his superannuation on 31.08.2022. He replaces Md. Shahbaz Ali (IP&TA&FS:1989).
  5. Arti Chhabra Srivastava (IOFS:1990) has been appointed as Additional Secretary (Joint Secretary level), Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) under the Department of Personnel & Training for a combined tenure of seven years up to 16.12.2025. He replaces Daniel Paul (IDES:1989).
  6. Ritu Sam (IAS:2003:CG) has been appointed as CEO/DG, National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) under the Department of Sports for an overall tenure of five years up to 25.03.2024. She will replace Navin Agarwal (IPS:1986:AGMUT).
  7. Prajakta L Verma (IAS:2001:MH) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Textiles for a tenure of five years. She will replace Nihar Ranjan Dash (IRSEE:1989).
  8. Rajeev Saxena (IRSS:1995) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Textiles for a combined tenure of five years. He replaces Jogiranjan Panigrahi (IRS-C&IT:1989).
  9. Anand Mohan (IFoS:1996) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation for a tenure of five years.
  10. Ms. Alaknanda Dayal (IAS:2000:PB), Joint Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has been prematurely repatriated to her parent cadre with immediate effect.
