The state government of Maharashtra has promoted four PCS officer to Indian Administrative service. This included the Maharashtra civil services officers UA Jadhav, Kanhu Harishchandra Bagate, Vinay Sadashiv and Pravin Kundlik Puri. All of then have been given their appointment letter. They have been given the Maharashtra cadre and will be on probation until the new orders are due.
Let it be noted that PCS officers are promoted to IAS after completion of eight years. However, in some cases it can take as much as two decades. The recent promotion was conducted under the vacancy intent by the Government of India under Regulation of 5(1) of the regulation in consultation of the state government for the selected list of 2018.
