West Bengal IAS Cadre Officers Transferred

After the appointment of HK Dwivedi as the Chief Secretary of the state, the West Bengal Government ordered the transfer of eight IAS officers.

The Mamata Banerjee Government went on to transfer and give different postings to several IAS officers of the state. The decision came after HK Dwivedi was made the chief secretary of the state.

The officers that have been transferred are:

  • Naveen Prakash, who was posted as addition chief secretary irrigation and waterways department with an additional charge of public works department, has been redesignated to the additional chief secretary of public works department.
  • H K Dwivedi, who was posted as additional chief secretary for the home and hill affairs department with additional charges of parliamentary affairs and planning and statistics department, has been made the chief secretary to the government of West Bengal.
  • BP Gopalika, who was posted as chief secretary, ARD department with additional charges of P and AR department and MD, West Bengal Highway Dev Corporation, has been redesignated as additional chief secretary home and hill affairs department with additional charges of additional chief secretary P and AR department and MD, West Bengal Highway Development Corporation.
  • Atri Bhattacharya, who was posted as director general administrative training institute (ATI) was made additional chief secretary, fisheries department.
  • AR Bardhan, who was posted as additional chief secretary of, public health engineering department with an additional charge of the commissioner, Jalpaiguri division, was moved to the additional chief secretary public health engineering department.
  • Roshni Sen, who was posted as principal secretary, mass education extension and library services department was redesignated to principal secretary, mass education extension and library services department with an additional charge of member secretary, West Bengal Pollution Control Board in the rank of principal secretary.
  • Prabhat Kumar, who was posted as principal secretary, water resources investigation department with an additional charge of principal secretary, fisheries department and project director, ADMI project, was redesignated to principal secretary, irrigation & waterways department with an additional charge of member secretary, West Bengal pollution control board in the rank of principal secretary.
  • Pritha Sarkar, who was posted as commissioner, Presidency division, was redesignated as commissioner, Presidency division with an additional charge of secretary, self-help group & self-employment department.
  • Jagdish Prasad, who was posted as secretary of the health & family welfare department, was designated as a secretary in the chief minister’s office.
