The order of the appointment was released by the Department of Personnel and Training on Tuesday. The order states that the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of Ministry of Home affairs to appoint Mr. Sanjay Arora as DG ITBP and Mr. Pankaj Kumar Singh as DG BSF.
Mr. Sanjay Arora is a 1988 Batch IPS officer from the Tamil Nadu cadre. He is currently posted as Special DG CRPF and has been appointed as Director General of Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) force. Mr. Arora will replace Deswal, an IPS Officer of 1984 batch, due to his superannuation dated on 31.08.2021.
Apart from that, the approval to the appointment of Mr. Balaji Srivastav as Director General, Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D) has been given by the ACC. Mr. Balaji is an IPS officer of 1988 Batch from AGMUT cadre. He will serve in the capacity of DG BPR&D from the date of his joining and up to March 31, 2024.
Earlier Last month He was also given the Additional charge of the New Commissioner of Police Delhi following the superannuation of Mr. SN Shrivastava.
