With immediate effect, Jammu & Kashmir government has ordered the transfer and posting of five IPS officers in the police administration.
The order states that IPS officer B. Srinivas, of batch 1990, who is serving as Director General of Police, Prisons, J&K, who also holds the additional charges of Director, Fire & Emergency Services, J&K, is transferred and posted as Commandant General, HG/CD & SDRF, J&K in place of H. K. Lohia, according to news agency KNO.
The directive states, “The post of Commandant General, HG/CD & SDRF, J&K, is declared to be equivalent in the rank and status to that of DGP, till held by the officer.”
IPS officer H.K. Lohia of batch 1992, who is serving as ADGP, Commandant General, HG/CD and SDRF, J&K, has been transferred and posted as Director General, Prisons, J&K in place of IPS officer B.Srinivas.
IPS officer Garib Dass of batch 1997 who is serving as IGP headquarters PHQ, was promoted to the grade of Additional Director General of Police(ADGP), has been transferred and posted as Commissioner of Civil-Military Liaison, Home Department, against the vacancy of an available position.
According to a declaration, the position of Commissioner for Civil Military Liaison is similar to that of ADGP while it is held by an officer in terms of rank and standing. The officer shall be headquartered at PHQ, Jammu.
IPS officer Alok Kumar of batch 1997 who was serving as IGP (CIV), PHQ, was promoted to the grade of Additional Director General of Police(ADGP), has been transferred and posted as Director, Fire & Emergency Services of Jammu and Kashmir in the place of available vacancy.
The post of Director, Fire & Emergency Services of J&K has been announced to be similar in rank and status to that of ADGP, till it is held by an officer.
IPS officer Bhim Sen Tuti of batch 2004 who was waiting for his posting in police headquarters is now posted as IGP of Headquarters, PHQ in the place of Garib Das.
And the officer is also supposed to hold the additional charge of the post of IGP (CIV)PHQ.
