The central government on Thursday ordered a major reshuffle involving several senior most IAS officers. The appointments have been approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet. The officers affected by it are :
Senior bureaucrat Renuka Kumar (Uttar Pradesh, 1987) has been shifted in the Ministry of Minority Affairs. He was currently serving in the state of his parent cadre, as per the order of the Personnel Ministry. He has been appointed in place of Pramod Kumar Das who is retiring on June 30.
Similarly, Sanjay Kumar Singh has been made the secretary in the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG). Mr. Singh is of 1987 batch and MP cadre and is presently Special Secretary in the Indian Department of Agricultural Research and Education and Secretary, Indian Council of Agricultural Research.
A 1988 batch IAS officer of West Bengal cadre, Mr. Indivar Pandey has been appointed as Secretary in the Ministry of Women and Child Development while, Manoj Kumar Parida (1986, AGMUT) has been posted as the Chairman of the National Authority for Chemical Weapons Convention.
National Commission for Minorities Secretary B Anand has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare in the Defense Ministry and Special Secretary in the Ministry of Minorities, SK Dev Varman has been appointed as Secretary, National Commission for Minorities.
