Six officers from the Jharkhand state Civil Services cadre, including Kanchan Singh, have been promoted to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). The Ministry of Personnel, Government of India, issued a notification on Monday confirming these promotions, which have been made against the vacancies for the year 2023.
The officers promoted to IAS are Kanchan Singh, Dhananjay Kumar Singh, Sita Pushpa, Vijay Kumar Sinha, Preeti Rani, and Rajesh Prasad. They have been appointed to the IAS as part of the 2023 selection list.
According to the notification, these officers have been appointed on probation to the IAS after consultation with the state government. Their appointments are in accordance with Regulation 3 of the relevant rules and are subject to further orders. The officers have been allocated to the Jharkhand cadre under Rule 5(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954.
