15 IAS, IFS, and PCS Officers in Major Bureaucratic Reshuffle in Punjab, Senior IAS Bhawna Garg Made Principal Secy, Jails

In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Government of Punjab has transferred and posted 15 IAS, IFS, and PCS officers across various departments and districts. The orders, issued by Chief Secretary Mr. K.A.P. Sinha (1992-batch IAS officer) under the direction of the Governor, take immediate effect.

IAS Transferees

Among the IAS officers, Ms. Bhawna Garg (1999-batch IAS officer) has been appointed as Principal Secretary, Jails, relieving Ms. Jaspreet Talwar of the additional charge. Ms. Senu Duggal (2012-batch IAS officer), currently serving as MD, Sugarfed, has been given additional responsibility as MD, Punjab Financial Corporation under the Industries & Commerce Department. Mr. Ravinder Singh (2017-batch IAS officer) has been entrusted with the additional charge of Additional Secretary, Social Justice, Empowerment & Minorities, alongside Labour. Ms. Navjot Kaur (2018-batch IAS officer) will continue as Additional Secretary, Personnel, and will now also serve as Director, Colonization.

IFS Transferees

In the IFS cadre, Mr. S.P. Anandh Kumar (2003-batch IFS officer) will continue as Special Secretary, Sports & Youth Services, with the additional charge of Forest & Wildlife Preservation. Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Tiwari (2007-batch IFS officer) has been posted as Chief Conservator of Forests (Hills), and also assigned multiple key roles in the Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Virasat-e-Khalsa, and the Punjab Tourism Development Corporation. Formal orders for his CCF (Hills) posting will be issued separately by the Forest Department.

PCS Transferees

For the PCS officers, Mr. Jagjit Singh (2011-batch PCS officer) has been promoted as Additional Director, Industries & Commerce, with additional charge as Additional Secretary, Planning. Ms. Amaninder Kaur (2012-batch PCS officer) takes over as Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Jalandhar, replacing Ms. Aparna M.B., IAS, who will report back to the Personnel Department after her leave. Ms. Amarbir Kaur Bhullar (2012-batch PCS officer) is posted as ADC (General), Hoshiarpur. Mr. Anmol Singh Dhaliwal (2012-batch PCS officer) will continue as ADC (Urban Development), SAS Nagar, with additional responsibility as Additional Chief Administrator-2, GMADA. Ms. Shikha Bhagat (2012-batch PCS officer), ADC Khanna, will now also serve as Additional Chief Administrator-2, GLADA, Ludhiana.

Mr. Rajpal Singh (2012-batch PCS officer) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Freedom Fighters. Mr. Deepankar Garg (2020-batch PCS officer) will serve as Deputy Secretary, General Administration & Coordination, replacing Ms. Kiran Sharma. Ms. Kiran Sharma (2020-batch PCS officer) has been posted as Secretary, PSSSB and Director, SCERT, Punjab. Ms. Sukhpinder Kaur (2023-batch PCS officer), currently Deputy Secretary, Vigilance, has been assigned additional charges of Deputy Secretary and Controller, Printing & Stationery, in place of Mr. Rajpal Singh.

The reshuffle is part of a broader effort by the state government to optimize administrative functioning and strengthen governance across departments.
