2 IAS & Several State Service Officers Reshuffled in Bihar; Ananya Singh Posted as Aurangabad DDC

In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar Government has transferred and assigned new roles to several officers, including two Indian Administrative Service officers and 11 Bihar Administrative Service officers. The General Administration Department has issued a notification detailing these changes.

Mr. Krishan Kumar, who was serving as Joint Secretary in the Commercial Taxes Department, has been transferred and posted as Joint Secretary in the Road Construction Department.

Ms. Ananya Singh, a 2020-batch IAS officer originally from the Bengal cadre, has been transferred to the Bihar cadre. She has been appointed as the Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) of Aurangabad district. Additionally, she has been entrusted with the additional charge of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Aurangabad Zilla Parishad.

Mr. Sheikh Ziaul Hasan, an office-bearer of the Bihar Public Relations and Administrative Services (BIPRAS) and Sub-Divisional Officer of Udakishunganj in Madhepura, has been granted voluntary retirement upon his request.

As part of the reshuffle, Aurangabad’s current Deputy Development Commissioner Mr. Abhyander Mohan Singh has been appointed as Secretary of the Bihar University Service Commission.

Mr. Shahnawaz Ahmed, who was awaiting a posting, has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Information and Public Relations Department. Mr. Mo. Manzoor Alam has been posted as Additional Collector (Public Grievances) in Begusarai district.

Mr. Mohd. Qayoom Ansari, who was serving as Director of Accounts Administration and Self-Planning in the District Rural Development Authority of Saran, has now been posted as Joint Secretary in the Bihar State Election Authority.

Mr. Neeraj Narain, holding a similar position in Purnea, has been transferred and appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Road Construction Department.

Mr. Anand Prakash, who was Officer on Special Duty in the Health Department, has been posted as Senior Deputy Collector of Gaya.

Mr. Suman Kumar, previously the District Land Acquisition Officer of Chhapra, will now serve as Deputy Secretary in the Food and Consumer Protection Department.

Mr. Anil Kumar, Senior Deputy Collector of Sheohar, has been posted as Officer on Special Duty in the Health Department, while Ms. Priyanka Kumari, Deputy Collector of Land Reforms in Shahpur Patori, Samastipur, has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty in the office of the Resident Commissioner, New Delhi.

Mr. Manish Kumar, Senior Deputy Collector of Gaya, has also been transferred to serve as Officer on Special Duty in the Health Department.

These transfers and appointments come as part of the government’s continued efforts to streamline administration and enhance efficiency across departments.
