The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has issued a transfer order involving two senior AGMUT cadre IPS officers and one IAS officer, posting them to Chandigarh as part of administrative reshuffling.
As per the order, Mr. Raj Kumar Singh, a 2004-batch IPS officer, has been transferred from Chandigarh to Delhi. He was holding additional charge as Director General of Police (DGP) Chandigarh following the transfer of DGP Mr. Surendra Yadav. The post of Chandigarh DGP remains vacant after Mr. Singh’s transfer.
In his place, Mr. Pushpendra Kumar, a 2006-batch IPS officer, has been transferred from Delhi to Chandigarh. Additionally, Ms. KM Prianka, a 2021-batch IPS officer, has also been shifted from Delhi to Chandigarh.
On the administrative side, Mr. Pardeep Kumar, a 2013-batch IAS officer, has been transferred from Jammu and Kashmir to Chandigarh under the same order.
The reshuffle is part of routine cadre management by the MHA under the AGMUT framework. However, the absence of a full-time DGP in Chandigarh remains a point of concern amid ongoing transfers.
