Mr. Arun J O, an experienced officer of the Kerala State Civil Service, has been inducted into the IAS under the promotion quota. Similarly, Ms. Hima K, another accomplished state service officer, has also been elevated to the prestigious All India Service.
These promotions come through the established system of inducting meritorious state service officers into the IAS cadre. Both officers have been assigned to the Kerala cadre, where they will bring their extensive administrative experience to their new roles.
The appointments were approved following due process and are part of the central government’s regular induction of state service officers into the IAS. Mr. Arun and Ms. Hima are expected to assume their new responsibilities after completing necessary formalities.
This move strengthens the state’s administrative framework by recognizing and rewarding outstanding service in the state bureaucracy while maintaining the cadre strength of All India Services officers in Kerala.
