New Delhi: In a recent move, the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has approved the re-designation of two officers to the post of Director in different ministries.
Amit Meena (IAS: 2011: KL), currently serving as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, has been elevated to the position of Director. The re-designation is effective from the date he assumes charge, with a tenure extending until March 30, 2026, under the central staffing scheme. Amit Meena began his central deputation on March 31, 2021.
Similarly, Poonam Meena (IRS-C&IT: 2011), currently Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, has also been re-designated as Director. Her re-designation is effective upon assumption of charge and will be valid until January 26, 2027, for a total tenure of five years. Poonam Meena started her central deputation on January 27, 2022.
