Kolkata: The Government of West Bengal has announced the appointment of two 2023-batch IAS officers to key administrative roles as Officers on Special Duty (OSD) in different departments.
Ravi Kumar Meena Appointed OSD in Higher Education Department
Mr Meena, an IAS officer of the 2023 batch (West Bengal cadre), has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Higher Education Department, Government of West Bengal.
Mr Meena is expected to support the department in policy implementation, monitoring educational schemes, and coordinating between institutions and the state government.
Maliye Sri Pranav Appointed OSD in Office of the Chief Secretary
Another officer from the same batch, Mr Pranav, has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty in the Office of the Chief Secretary, Government of West Bengal. In this critical administrative role, Mr Pranav will assist in the overall coordination of inter-departmental affairs and policy execution at the topmost level of state governance.
These appointments reflect the state government’s intent to groom young IAS officers by placing them in strategically significant roles early in their careers.
