New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has cleared several key appointments in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), according to an official notification from the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.
Three senior Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers have been appointed to top roles under the Central Staffing Scheme of MoEFCC:
- Ramesh Kumar Pandey (IFS: UP-1996) has been appointed as Additional Director General of Forests (ADGF) at MoEFCC headquarters in New Delhi. He will serve on deputation until May 31, 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
- Anand Mohan (IFS: RJ-1996) will take over as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (National CAMPA). His tenure begins on or after May 1, 2025, and will continue until April 18, 2027.
- Santosh Tewari (IFS: BH-1993) has been appointed as Additional Director General of Forests (ADGF) in MoEFCC. His deputation will begin on or after August 1, 2025, and run through August 11, 2026.
These appointments are part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the administrative leadership in India’s environment and forest governance.
