The Odisha Home Department has issued a notification announcing the transfer and posting of three senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers who have returned from central deputation.

Mr. Susanta Kumar Nath, a 1993-batch IPS officer, has been appointed as the Director General of Prisons and Correctional Services. He joined the state cadre following his repatriation from the Government of India.
Mr. Dayal Gangwar, a 1998-batch IPS officer who was serving as Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Headquarters, has now been posted as ADGP, Communication.
Mr. Prateek Mohanty, a 2000-batch IPS officer, has been posted as ADGP, Headquarters, after his return from central deputation.
The notification marks a significant reshuffle in the senior ranks of the state police establishment, reflecting the government’s efforts to reassign experienced officers to strategic roles.
