Jammu & Kashmir: In a significant move, four Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers posted in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh have been promoted to the Junior Administrative Grade (Level 12 in the pay matrix). This promotion is part of a larger group of 16 officers from the Joint AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram, and Union Territories) Cadre.
The promoted officers include Saloni Rai, the Deputy Commissioner of Udhampur; Dr. Devansh Yadav, the Commissioner of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC); Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, the Deputy Commissioner of Kargil; and Rakesh Minhas, the Deputy Commissioner of Kathua. All four officers belong to the 2016 batch of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS).
This promotion marks a significant milestone in their careers, providing them with enhanced responsibilities and recognition for their work in the region. The promotion is also seen as an acknowledgment of the officers’ dedicated service in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, regions known for their unique administrative challenges.
The decision is part of the regular cadre reshuffling and promotion process, aimed at boosting the efficiency and effectiveness of the administration in the Union Territories.
