In a significant administrative move coinciding with the Union Budget announcement, the Gujarat Government has implemented a major reshuffle involving the transfer and promotion of 68 IAS officers across various departments. The General Administration Department, under the directive of Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Kamal Dayani, has issued the official transfer and promotion orders.

• Dr. Vinod Ramchandra Rao (2000-batch) has been promoted to the Higher Administrative Grade (HAG) and appointed as Principal Secretary of the Labour, Skill Development & Employment Department, with additional charge as Chief Secretary to the Government.
• Mr. M Thennarasan (2000-batch), previously Municipal Commissioner, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, has been appointed as Principal Secretary, Sports, Youth & Cultural Activities Department.
• Mr. Anupam Anand (2000-batch) will continue as Transport Commissioner.
• Mr. Milind Shivram Torawane (2000-batch), formerly Managing Director, Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (GSPC), has been appointed Managing Director, Energy & Petrochemicals Department, GSPC.
• Mr. Banchha Nidhi Pani (2005-batch), Commissioner of Technical Education, has been transferred and appointed as Municipal Commissioner, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.
