New Delhi: In a key development aimed at bolstering the senior administrative cadre, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has empanelled seven Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers for appointment to Additional Secretary or Additional Secretary-equivalent posts in the Government of India.
These officers belong to various batches and cadres and include some of the top performers of their respective years.

- Anju Sharma (IAS: 1991: Gujarat)
- Aniruddhe Mukerjee (IAS: 1993: Madhya Pradesh) – Currently Principal Resident Commissioner, Madhya Pradesh Bhawan, New Delhi
- Nitishwar Kumar (IAS: 1996: Uttar Pradesh) – Presently Additional Secretary (Equivalent), Department of Women & Child Development, Govt of India
- Sunil Kumar Barnwal (IAS: 1997: Jharkhand) – Currently serving as Additional Secretary (Equivalent), Department of Higher Education
Empanelled for Additional Secretary-Equivalent Posts:
- Manish Bhardwaj (IAS: 1997: Gujarat) – Serving as Joint Secretary, UIDAI
- Shantanu (IAS: 1997: Tripura) – Currently Joint Secretary, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DONER)
- Ramesh Kumar Sudhanshu (IAS: 1997: Uttarakhand) – Serving in the cadre
It is notable that Aniruddhe Mukerjee, topper of the 1993 batch, and Sunil Kumar Barnwal, topper of the 1997 batch, feature on this list, highlighting the inclusion of high-performing officers in senior roles.
