9 IAS Officers Reshuffled in Bihar, Ajay Yadav Made Secy, Education Department

The Bihar government today undertook a bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring nine IAS officers and assigning additional responsibilities to two.

Mr. Ajay Yadav (2005-batch IAS officer), who was serving in the General Administration Department after returning from central deputation, has been appointed as Secretary, Education Department. He will also hold additional charges as Director, Higher Education, and Managing Director (MD) of Bihar State Textbook Publication Corporation Limited.

Mr. Animesh Kumar Parashar (2010-batch IAS officer), CEO of Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) and Special Secretary, Urban Development and Housing Department, has been given the additional charge of MD, Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation (BUIDCO). As a result, Mr. Yogesh Kumar, the current MD of BUIDCO, has been transferred and posted as Director, Social Welfare Department, along with the role of Joint Secretary in the same department.

Mr. Dinesh Kumar (2007-batch IAS officer), the Bhagalpur Divisional Commissioner, has been assigned additional charge of Munger Divisional Commissioner.

Mr. Udayan Mishra (2011-batch IAS officer), Director, Science, Technology & Technical Education, and Special Secretary in the department, has been posted as Special Secretary, Tourism Department, with an additional charge as Director, Tourism.

Mr. Pawan Kumar Sinha (IAS), previously Land Settlement Officer of Jamui district, has been transferred to the Water Resources Department (WRD) as Additional Secretary.

Mr. Shyam Bihari Meena (2014-batch IAS officer), Director, Employment & Training, who was also holding additional charge as Director, Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe Department, has now been given full charge of the latter.

Mr. Rajesh Kumar (2001-batch IAS officer), Purnia District Settlement Officer, has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Parliamentary Affairs Department. Meanwhile, Mr. Ahmad Maqsood, previously Additional Secretary, Science, Technology & Technical Education Department, has been posted as Director in the same department.

Mr. Vijay Prakash (2016-batch IAS officer), Director of the Disability Wing in the Social Welfare Department, who was also serving as Additional Secretary in the same department, has been transferred as Additional Secretary, Urban Development & Housing Department.

Lastly, Mr. Abhay Jha (2017-batch IAS officer), currently MD, Bihar State Textbook Publication Corporation, has been posted as Joint Secretary in the Rural Works Department (RWD).

This reshuffle is expected to enhance administrative efficiency and streamline governance in key sectors of the state.
