The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has secured an ‘Excellent’ rating with an impressive score of 94.50 out of 100 in the MoU assessment for 2023-24, conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Civil Aviation. This remarkable achievement has been accomplished under the leadership of AAI Chairman Vipin Kumar.
The Department of Public Enterprises (DPE) officially conveyed AAI’s rating, highlighting its outstanding performance. The MoU, formulated as per DPE guidelines, emphasises key financial parameters such as revenue growth, capital expenditure, return on capital employed, and asset turnover ratio. Additionally, sector-specific performance indicators for CPSEs were integral to the evaluation process.
The agreement also incorporates several compliance aspects aligned with government priorities, including procurement from micro and small enterprises (MSEs) owned by SC/ST and women entrepreneurs, as well as corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
AAI’s investment of ₹5,335 crore in capital projects during the year contributed to significant improvements in airport infrastructure and technology, enhancing operational efficiency. The ‘Excellent’ rating reflects AAI’s commitment to elevating passenger experience and sets a strong foundation for future expansion.
