New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of two senior bureaucrats as Joint Secretaries in the Eighth Central Pay Commission (8th CPC), which functions under the Department of Expenditure.
The appointments include senior IAS officer Amit Satija and senior IDAS officer Niraj Kumar Gayagi. Both officers will play key administrative roles in shaping the framework and functioning of the upcoming pay commission.
Amit Satija Appointed Joint Secretary in 8th CPC
Amit Satija, a 2008-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the AGMUT cadre, currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Department of Defence Production, has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the 8th Central Pay Commission.
He will serve in the position for an overall tenure of five years, up to 16 April 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
