New Delhi: In a significant administrative development, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the empanelment of ten senior officers from the Indian Telecommunications Service (ITS) and Indian Information Service (IIS) for appointment to Joint Secretary or equivalent level positions in the Government of India.
Seven ITS Officers Empanelled
The ACC has cleared the names of seven officers from the Indian Telecommunications Service for empanelment at the Joint Secretary-level or equivalent posts. These officers have a track record of service in various key positions across the Department of Telecommunications and allied ministries.
The list of empanelled ITS officers includes –
- Ashutosh Jain (ITS:1993)
- Satyanarain Gupta (ITS:1993)
- Ajay Kumar Nema (ITS:1994)
- Ashok Kumar (ITS:1994)
- Ashok Kumar Jain (ITS:1994)
- Rajiv Ranjan Tiwari (ITS:1994)
- V S Burde (ITS:1994)
Most of these officers belong to the 1993 and 1994 batches, highlighting their extensive administrative experience and leadership within the telecom sector.
Three IIS Officers Also Empanelled
Alongside their ITS counterparts, three officers from the Indian Information Service (IIS) have also been empanelled for Joint Secretary or equivalent level posts. The empanelled officers are known for their contributions to public communication, media strategy, and government outreach initiatives.
The IIS officers empanelled are –
- Prakash Bhupal Magdum (IIS:1999)
- Ritu Shukla (IIS:2000)
- Shruti Patil (IIS:2000)
These officers have served in various capacities across ministries such as the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Press Information Bureau, and other government media units.
