Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has cleared the way for action against officers found guilty of corruption and irregularities. He has approved the initiation of the process to stop the pensions of 10 retired officers, including one IAS officer.
The CM has also resolved 38 pending cases related to disciplinary action and prosecution against officers and employees accused of corruption. Approval has been granted to dismiss two officers from service who have been absent from duty for a long time and are accused of corruption.
A proposal to stop the pension of a retired IAS officer, accused of irregularities, has been sent to the central government.
Approval for Prosecution of 7 Officers
The CM has approved the prosecution of seven officers caught by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on corruption charges. Disciplinary action under CCA Rule 17 has been approved for 11 officers, and under CCA Rule 16 for two officers. Following the CM’s approval, the annual salary increments of these officers will be halted. Additionally, files to stop the pensions of nine retired officers have been approved.
Review Petitions Rejected, Relief in Two Cases
After review at the Chief Minister’s level, two review petitions under CCA Rule 34 were rejected, upholding the earlier actions. In two cases of departmental inquiries, the accused officers have been granted relief.
