Indian Army Agniveer 2026 Recruitment Guide: Eligibility, Age Limit, Selection Process and Application Steps Explained

New Delhi: The Agniveer Recruitment 2026 process has been announced by the Indian Army, offering a major opportunity for young Indians to serve the nation through the Agnipath scheme. Interested candidates who want to join the armed forces can apply online through the official recruitment portal. 

The application process has already started and eligible candidates must submit their forms before the deadline. As per the official recruitment details shared by the Directorate General of Recruiting, candidates between 17½ and 22 years of age can apply for this recruitment drive. The last date to submit the online application is 01 April 2026, and applications must be completed through the official website joinindianarmy.nic.in.

What is the Indian Army Agniveer 2026 Recruitment?

The Agniveer recruitment is part of the Government of India’s Agnipath scheme, launched to recruit young candidates into the armed forces for a short-term service period. Under this program, selected candidates serve in the Indian Army as “Agniveers” for four years.

  • Agniveer GD: Class 10 pass with minimum required marks

3. Medical Examination

4. Final Merit List

Candidates who successfully clear all stages are included in the final merit list.
