New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved two senior-level appointments under the Central Staffing Scheme, as per orders issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
Ambica Anand (ISS) Appointed Director in Ministry of Steel
Ambica Anand, a 2009-batch officer of the Indian Statistical Service (ISS), has been appointed as Director in the Ministry of Steel, Government of India.
She was recommended for Central deputation by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI). Anand will serve for a tenure of five years from the date of assumption of charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The order also directs her immediate release from her current assignment, to enable her to join the new post without delay.
Neeraj Surendran (IDAS) Appointed Deputy Secretary in Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE)
In another key appointment, Neeraj Surendran, a 2015-batch officer of the Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS), has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE).
Surendran was recommended for Central deputation by the Department of Defence and will serve in the new role for a period of four years, effective from the date of joining or until further orders.
He has also been directed to be relieved from his current duties immediately so that he can take up his new assignment in MSDE.
