New Delhi: In a series of administrative decisions issued on Friday, the Central Government announced several key appointments and additional charges across various departments, as per notifications released by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
Amit Yadav Gets Additional Charge of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities
Mr Yadav (IAS: 1991: AGMUT), currently serving as Secretary in the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, has been entrusted with the additional charge of Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan).
This additional responsibility follows the repatriation of the incumbent officer who was previously holding the post. The arrangement ensures continuity in administrative functioning within the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment.
Akash Jain Appointed as Deputy Secretary in National Recruitment Agency
Mr Jain (IRS-IT: 2013) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the National Recruitment Agency (NRA) Headquarters, New Delhi.
He was recommended for central deputation by the Department of Revenue and will serve under the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) for a period of four years.
According to the official order, Mr. Jain’s appointment will be governed by the Central Staffing Scheme and will remain effective from the date he assumes charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The NRA plays a crucial role in streamlining the recruitment process for central government positions by conducting the Common Eligibility Test (CET).
Mayank Prabha Tomar Appointed as Director in DARPG
Mr Tomar (IRS-IT: 2009) has been appointed as Director in the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances (DARPG), New Delhi.
He was recommended for central deputation by the Department of Revenue and will serve in the post under the Central Staffing Scheme for a tenure of five years from the date of assuming charge or until further orders.
DARPG functions as the nodal agency for administrative reforms, grievance redressal mechanisms, and good governance practices across government institutions.
Strengthening Administrative Efficiency
These appointments are part of the government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen administrative efficiency and streamline governance at various levels. The reshuffle reflects a broader focus on optimizing human resource deployment across departments and ensuring smooth coordination between ministries.
