Amroha, Uttar Pradesh: A sudden reshuffle in the Amroha district administration has sparked discussion from the tehsil to the district headquarters, after District Magistrate Nidhi Gupta Vats, an IAS officer of 2015 batch, removed a peon from the SDM (Sub-Divisional Magistrate) Sadar court for issuing an official demand letter without authorization.
According to officials, Jitendra Singh, recently posted as peon in the SDM Sadar Court, signed and released a demand letter without SDM Shashi Bhushan Pathak’s order. Upon receiving the complaint, DM Vats acted immediately, reassigning Jitendra to the Wasil Baki Navis desk and appointing Anirudh Singh, a peon from the Tehsildar Court, in his place.
