Amidst a recent development, the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) confirmed the approval by the Union Government regarding the Senior IAS officer Mr. Neerabh Kumar Prasad’s (1997 batch) tenure extension as the Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh for another six months, beyond June 30th to December 31st, 2024, on the Andhra Government’s request.
The Union government has also approved the Naidu government’s request to repatriate senior IPS officer Mr. Mahesh Chandra Ladda (1998 batch), currently serving as Inspector General (IG) of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), from his central deputation back to Andhra Pradesh. Officer Ladda is likely to join the state bureaucracy as the state’s Intelligence Chief.
