IAS officer Anurag Jain has been given the additional charge of the post of Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. The Competent Authority has approved the assignment of this post to 1989 batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre, Anurag Jain. He will take up this charge due to the superannuation of Mr. Alkesh Kumar Sharma.
Mr. Jain is presently holding the charge of Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways. An alumnus of IIT Kharagpur and Maxwell School, USA, he had earlier served as Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade and as Joint Secretary to Prime Minister’s Office.
