Mahoba (Uttar Pradesh), 30 June 2025 — In a fresh push to connect with youth in remote regions, the Indian Army has rolled out ‘Caravan Talkies’, a digital outreach campaign designed to motivate students towards a future in the armed forces. The vehicle made its first stop at Chaudhary Sunder Singh Inter College, Barbai, where eager students gathered for the interactive session.
Rolling Recruitment on Wheels
Fitted with a large LED screen, sound system, and informative visuals, the caravan displayed a wide range of multimedia content. These videos highlighted life in the Indian Army, training standards, and the various roles available for young recruits. The use of simple language and relatable examples made the experience more accessible for rural youth.

Interactive Games and Guidance Sessions
The session was far from a one-way presentation. Students engaged in quizzes and interactive games, designed to both inform and excite them about recruitment procedures. Army personnel shared details on eligibility, selection process, physical requirements, and life after joining. Importantly, they addressed individual queries from students and teachers alike, building trust and breaking down common misconceptions.
Reaching Where It Matters
According to Regional Defence PRO Shantanu Pratap Singh, the four-day campaign will cover several districts across Uttar Pradesh. He said the goal is to inspire rural youth by bringing the Indian Army directly to their doorsteps—both digitally and in spirit. This approach helps bridge the gap between urban career awareness and rural opportunities.
Building the Future, One District at a Time
By combining digital technology with face-to-face interaction, Caravan Talkies strengthens the Army’s community presence. It also aligns with the broader national effort to promote defence careers and inclusive growth. For many students, it offers their first real insight into military life and what it takes to be a part of it.
