Former IAS officer Arun Kumar has been appointed as Chief Commissioner of Chandigarh Right to Service Commission. The order was signed by Secretary, Chandigarh Administration on the approval of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
Let it be noted that the post of commissioner had been vacant since March 21 this year, after KK Jindal’s retirement. After that, the charge was given to UT adviser Dharam Pal, who will be retiring on October 31, 2023.
A retired 1989-batch Haryana cadre IAS officer, Mr. Kumar has earlier served as Director General Civil Aviation and as Chandigarh Deputy Commissioner.
