Tenzin Yangki from Tawang district has made history by becoming the first woman from Arunachal Pradesh to join the Indian Police Service (IPS). She officially joined the prestigious service after successfully completing her training and participating in the passing out parade at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad on Friday, October 17.
Yangki cleared the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Examination 2022, securing an All India Rank of 545, marking a significant milestone for both her and the State.
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu congratulated Yangki on her achievement, stating that “her remarkable journey from the serene mountains of Arunachal to the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad reflects courage, determination, and an unwavering sense of duty.”
