New Delhi: Kishore Gurdasani, currently serving as Executive Director at Advanced Weapons and Equipment India Limited (AWEIL), has been appointed as Director (Operations) of the company. The appointment was approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) following a recommendation by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB).
ACC Approval and Official Order
The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued an official order on January 1, 2026, confirming ACC’s approval of the Department of Defence Production’s proposal for Gurdasani’s elevation. This marks a key leadership change at AWEIL, aimed at strengthening the company’s operational management and strategic execution.

PESB Recommendation
The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) had recommended Gurdasani’s name for the position on September 13, 2025, following a rigorous interview process of five shortlisted candidates.
