New Delhi: State-owned Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), a leading defence public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, has announced its financial results for the second quarter of the financial year 2025–26 (Q2FY26), reporting a sharp 76.1% year-on-year growth in net profit.
The company’s net profit stood at ₹2.15 trillion during the quarter, compared to ₹1.25 trillion in Q2FY25, reflecting strong operational efficiency and increased execution of defence manufacturing orders.
Revenue and income performance
BDL’s revenue from operations for Q2FY26 rose to ₹11.4 trillion, while total income for the quarter reached ₹12.6 trillion, showcasing a robust performance in both domestic and export contracts.
The company’s total expenses for the quarter were reported at ₹9.7 trillion, indicating effective cost control and operational discipline amid rising input costs and supply-chain challenges.
Dividend and shareholder approval
In addition to its quarterly performance, BDL shareholders approved a final dividend of ₹0.65 per equity share for the financial year 2024–25 at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on September 26, 2025.
This move reaffirms the company’s commitment to delivering steady returns to its investors while maintaining strong balance sheet fundamentals.
Market reaction
Following the announcement of results, BDL shares were trading 1.07% lower at ₹1,516.00 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Thursday.
Despite the slight dip, the stock has shown consistent long-term growth backed by strong order books, government defence procurement initiatives, and growing export opportunities.
