Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a prominent Navratna Defence PSU, reported strong financial performance for the first half (H1) of FY 2024-25, with substantial increases in turnover and profitability. The company’s turnover reached ₹8,530.43 crore, up by 15.83% from ₹7,364.82 crore in H1 of the previous fiscal year. In Q2 FY 2024-25 alone, BEL recorded a turnover of ₹4,425.29 crore, compared to ₹3,918.13 crore in the same quarter last year.
BEL’s Profit Before Tax (PBT) also saw notable growth, totaling ₹2,488.22 crore for H1 FY 2024-25, a 40.05% rise from ₹1,776.69 crore in the previous year’s H1. For Q2 FY 2024-25, PBT stood at ₹1,450.88 crore, up from ₹1,072.94 crore in Q2 of FY 2023-24.
The company reported a 39.03% year-on-year increase in net profit for H1, reaching ₹1,867.41 crore compared to ₹1,343.18 crore last year. Q2 net profit rose to ₹1,091.27 crore, up from ₹812.34 crore in the previous year’s corresponding period.
As of October 1, 2024, BEL’s order book position was robust, standing at ₹74,595 crore, underlining its strong market presence and sustained demand for its defence and electronics offerings.
