BEL Secures Rs 633 Crore Order from Cochin Shipyard to Supply Advanced Defence Electronics Boosting India’s Maritime Security

New Delhi: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, has received a significant order worth Rs 633 crore (excluding taxes) from Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL). This contract involves the supply of essential components for sensors, weapon systems, fire control systems, and communication equipment manufactured by BEL.

Supporting India’s Indigenous Defence Manufacturing

The order reinforces BEL’s vital role in India’s indigenous shipbuilding and defence manufacturing ecosystem. By providing state-of-the-art defence electronics and systems, BEL contributes significantly to the Government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, aimed at achieving self-reliance in critical sectors including defence.
