Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna Defence PSU, has secured fresh orders worth Rs 962 crore, further strengthening its role in India’s defence and strategic electronics sector. The company has signed a Rs 610 crore contract with the Indian Navy for the supply of Electro-Optic Fire Control System (EOFCS), an indigenously developed system designed for installation and integration on naval platforms. The EOFCS features advanced capabilities, including panoramic and sector search, day and night target tracking, and engagement of tracked targets using medium- and short-range gun mounts.
In addition to this, BEL has received supplementary orders worth Rs 352 crore since its last disclosure on January 28, 2025. These include contracts for anti-drone systems, fuzes, an integrated fire detection and suppression system, a vessel communication system, and various spares and services. With these new contracts, BEL’s total order intake for the current financial year has now reached Rs 11,855 crore, reinforcing its strong position in India’s defence sector.
