The rating, awarded by the Department of Public Enterprises (DPE), reflects BEML’s exceptional performance across a range of organizational parameters.

BEML’s stellar performance was evaluated based on:

  • Production Value: Consistently achieving high production targets.
  • Overseas Income: Increasing export revenues.
  • Financial Metrics: Exceptional EBITDA as a percentage of revenue, return on capital employed, and asset turnover ratio.
  • Operational Efficiency: Effective procurement and invoice management via the Government e-Marketplace (GeM).
  • Governance: Strong shareholder returns, transparent related party transactions, and an effective board composition.

The PSU also excelled in trade receivables management, procurement from MSMEs, and health and safety initiatives, further boosting its operational efficiency and overall organizational health.

A significant highlight of BEML’s financial performance was a historic dividend payout exceeding 200%, showcasing its commitment to delivering substantial shareholder value.   • Vande Bharat Sleeper Trainset: Delivering India’s first sleeper trainset.
