Hyderabad: Avantel Limited has received a significant purchase order worth Rs 17.7 crore from Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), further strengthening its commitment to India’s self-reliance in the aerospace and defence sectors. The order involves the supply, installation, and commissioning of 01 KW HF Software Defined Radios (SDRs) for both ground and aerospace applications.
The contract is set to be executed by September 20, 2028, with a key stipulation requiring a Performance Bank Guarantee of 3%. This collaboration marks another milestone in Avantel’s ongoing support of India’s Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives, while also contributing to national security and fostering growth within the domestic defence industry.

Bharat Electronics Limited, a Central Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, is known for manufacturing cutting-edge electronic products and systems for the Indian Armed Forces. Avantel Limited, for its part, specializes in the design, development, and maintenance of communication products, radar systems, and network management software applications, primarily serving the aerospace and defence sectors. The company’s expertise spans multiple technological domains, including satellite communications (SATCOM), radar subsystems, Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), and Defence Electronics.
