This large-scale order significantly strengthens BHEL’s order book, ensuring revenue visibility in the coming years and reinforcing its leadership in India’s thermal power sector.
The project will use supercritical technology, which offers:
- Higher efficiency
- Reduced emissions
- Improved fuel utilization
This aligns with India’s push toward cleaner and more efficient thermal power generation.
Strengthening CPSE Collaboration
Both BHEL and NTPC are Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs), and this project highlights strong collaboration between government-owned entities in building critical infrastructure.
The company clarified that the contract is not a related party transaction, as it was awarded through a transparent competitive bidding process.
Positive Impact on Manufacturing Operations
The order is expected to boost activity across BHEL’s manufacturing units, especially those involved in producing boilers, turbines, and generators, leading to increased operational momentum in the coming months.
